Born on 24 May 1982, Mohammed Rafi is a professional footballer from India who hails from Trikaripur in Kasaragod district of Kerala state.
He plays in the Indian Super League, for Chennaiyin FC as a striker. Not only has he made his mark in the field of football but has etched his name as a super talented footballer in the history of football in India. He has several achievements in his name that include climbing the ranks in SBT that was promoted to the first division of National Football League in 2004. After the relegation of SBT, Mohammed Rafi was selected by Mahindra United for the next season after his amazing performance with 4 goals.
He also stood gloriously as Mahindra United's player of the year owing to his applause-worthy performance in the 2009/2010 league with 14 goals that is the highest among all Indian strikers.His brother Mohammed Shafi and Mohammed Razi also took after his legacy.
Mohammed Rafi now trains at the TFA and is also one of the brains behind the academy.

He holds a Masters in Sports Management and History. He is a Certified Football Coach AFC C License & AIFF–Grassroots Leader's Course.

Kerala Junior Team for National Junior League Championship held at Punjab – 2011. Besides he coached FDF Summer Football
Coaching Camp in Kasargod District – 2012. As a player he has represented University of Kannur, football team in the year
1998-2002. He has lead the team as a captain in 2002 Kerala state Junior football team 1998-1999.
